Come closer – This is between you and me… Secret 7″ is back! Now in its fifth year, Secret 7″ is a unique event that each year takes seven tracks by seven different artists and then invites the creative community to interpret these tracks however they see fit and create one of a kind design for the 7″ vinyl sleeve, all in the name of charity – Which this year is Amnesty International UK. This years tracks are Etta James – At Last, Chvrches – Clearest Blue, Jack Garratt – Worry, The Jam – Art School, John Lennon – Imagine, Max Richter – Dream 3 and Tame Impala – The Less I Know The Better. Anyone can submit a design for the track of their choice, the only rules are that the name of the artist, song and designer cannot feature anywhere on the design. These secrets are only revealed to you once your money has been handed over and you can look inside the sleeve. Contributors to this years designs included the famous studios HORT and Spin, as well as a host of well established and budding creatives, there may even be a design of our very own in there but that would be telling! All the sleeves are then showcased in an exhibition, before being sold on a first-come-first-served basis. All of us here agree that this an absolutely brilliant idea. It has grown into such a fantastic event that brings together designers, artists and music lovers, whilst producing an array of beautiful bespoke artwork that will be enjoyed by whoever has the privilege to get their hands on one, whilst raising money for worthy causes.
This is one secret not to be kept!
